What Persian.restaurant is, what it is not, and who it is for.
What this is
Persian.restaurant is a bilingual atlas of Iranian food. It brings together dishes, sweets, breads and drinks that appear in official Iranian cultural and tourism sources, and presents each one with the same structure in Persian and English.
What this is not
It is not a claim that every traditional food of every Iranian locality has been documented. The public official record is itself incomplete, and this site can only be as complete as its sources. It is also not a restaurant directory.
Both languages carry the same record
Each dish has one permanent record ID and two full language versions. Neither language is a translation of the other in the usual sense: both are written against the same underlying record, so a reader of Persian and a reader of English see the same evidence.
Corrections
If a dish is misattributed, misspelled or missing, that is worth telling us. Regional attribution in particular is contested, and the site states its confidence rather than hiding it.
